It is impossible to say how long each probate process will take in New York because it will differ depending on the circumstances. However, on average, the probate process takes 7-9 months in New York.

If all the beneficiaries are in full agreement regarding the asset distribution, the probate process will be simplified. However, if there is a disagreement amongst the parties, the process could become more complex as litigation may be involved.
